As a leader in health technology, our goal at Philips is to revolutionize healthcare management. Where currently diagnostic blood testing is often carried out in a laboratory setting, we’re innovating to move beyond these walls and bring it near the patient— wherever they need it.

In 2016, we took our first step toward achieving this goal, launching the Minicare I-20 handheld system with cardiac troponin-l (cTnI) assay for suspected heart attack, delivering lab comparable results within just 10 minutes. Now we have reached another important milestone with the launch of additional next generation Minicare in-vitro diagnostics systems:

• The Minicare C-300*—a clinical chemistry system that enables physicians to bypass the often time-consuming process of sending blood samples to a central or external laboratory for an extensive range of 27 chemistry parameters

• The Minicare H-300*—a hemostasis system that aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of coagulation abnormalities, giving the physicians crucial information in real time in critical care settings such as heavy blood trauma or massive surgery

• Minicare BNP*, an additional cardiac assay for the Minicare I-20, measuring the BNP (Brain Natriuretic Peptide) concentration in blood, to aid in the diagnosis of heart failure providing lab comparable test results within 10 minutes
